What is Community Behavioral Health (CBH)?
Community Behavioral Health (CBH) is a program designed to provide flexible behavioral health services to youth, adults, and families in the environments where they live, learn, and spend their time.
CBH provides individualized support based on the needs of each participant. Services may include individual or family therapy and/or behavioral supports, depending on the participant’s needs and treatment goals.
Our approach is collaborative and individualized. We work with each participant and their support system to develop services that fit their goals, strengths, and circumstances.
Services May Include
- Individual Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Therapeutic Behavioral Supports (TBS)
- Parenting Support
- Academic Advocacy
- Telehealth, when appropriate
- Evidence-based practices, including TBRI, TFTC and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Services are tailored to the individual. Not every participant will need or receive every service.
How We Do It
Collaborate: We partner with participants and families to understand their needs, identify goals, and develop an individualized plan of care. Services are scheduled around the participant’s needs and availability and may take place in the home, school, community, or through telehealth when appropriate.
Support: Our team provides individualized behavioral health services designed to help participants build skills, strengthen relationships, and work toward their goals.
Connect: We work collaboratively with families and, when appropriate, schools, courts, children services, healthcare providers, and other community partners to coordinate care and connect participants with additional resources.
Who Can Receive CBH Services?
CBH serves youth, adults, and families who are eligible for Medicaid and meet the requirements for the services provided.
Because services are individualized, our team will work with you to determine which services may be appropriate based on your needs.
