Omni Visions Northeast Regional Office Relocates to Johnson City

Omni Visions Jonesborough is excited to announce that we have outgrown our original offices and are moving to Johnson City. We opened our first Omni Visions Northeast Tennessee regional office in the Jonesborough area in early 2000.

The goal was to be located in the center of the 8 counties served by Omni Visions in Northeastern Tennessee. Over 20 plus years this wonderful location has allowed us to meet the needs of the families we serve in the greater Tennessee Tri-Cities area.

Foster Care in Tri Cities Area

The new office—which is in north Johnson City —is conveniently located off of Interstate 26, making it ideal for serving the TN Tri Cities area and nearby counties, including Washington, Sullivan, Greene, Unicoi, Johnson, Hawkins, Carter, and Hancock.

As with our other Tennessee locations, the new Johnson City office is an attractive, comfortable, high-quality facility, one that features a training area, conference rooms, and work space for a half-dozen employees.

Johnson City Location Offers Foster Care and Behavioral Health

The Sunset Drive location also features an Omni Community Health Clinic.

Jon Dyer, the Northeast Regional Director of Omni, is excited about the move,

“In 2020 Omni Visions Foster Care was given an exciting new opportunity to co-locate with Omni Community Health in the Johnson City area.  The move will allow us to remain centrally located in the region as well as provide improved access to both Omni services in one location.”

Being in the same building as the Omni Community Health facility allows greater support services for the families and children in Omni’s foster care programs.

Omni TN Better Serving Foster Parents and Children

The new office is ideal for serving the needs of foster parents, children, and staffers alike. In addition to the financial assistance provided by typical foster care services, our new facility provides educational and behavioral support, as well as medical care through Omni Community Health.

Foster Care support services are what separates Omni from other foster placement systems. We rely on therapeutic foster care which requires a more robust system of support services. Treatment or therapeutic foster care is a step above traditional foster care.

The children helped through therapeutic care often have complex trauma or a mental health diagnosis and are receiving additional services such as counseling, medication or case management.

Many children in therapeutic foster care would struggle in traditional foster care because they need more support services. Therapeutic foster care focuses on helping children reach their goals and transition back to their family or find other permanent placements such as adoption or independent living.
